Product Size

Product Details

Product Name
IREB2 Recombinant Protein
Description
RNA-binding protein that binds to iron-responsive elements (IRES), which are stem-loop structures found in the 5'-UTR of ferritin, and delta aminolevulinic acid synthase mRNAs, and in the 3'-UTR of transferrin receptor mRNA. Binding to the IRE element in ferritin results in the repression of its mRNA translation. Binding of the protein to the transferrin receptor mRNA inhibits the degradation of this otherwise rapidly degraded mRNA.

Storage & Handling

Product Format
Lyophilized PBS, pH7.4, containing 0.01% Sarkosyl, 1mM DTT, 5% Trehalose and Proclin300.
Reconstitution
Reconstitute in ddH2O to the original concentration prior to lyophilization. If additional dilution is required, dilute further in the original base lyophilization buffer excluding stabilizers such as Sarkosyl, Proclin, Trehalose or Sucrose. Do not vortex. Store at 2-8 °C for one month. Aliquot and store at -80 °C for 12 months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
