Asparanin A is an apoptosis inducer with anticancer activity. It inhibits cancer cell growth by inducing G0/G1 cell cycle arrest via mitochondrial and PI3K/AKT signaling pathways. It also significantly inhibited tumor growth in an in vivo mouse xenograft model of Ishikawa endometrial carcinoma.
