BAM15 is a mitochondrial protonophore uncoupler with fewer off-target effects (EC50 = 270 nM in L6 myoblast mitochondria). Unlike FCCP, BAM15 stimulates a higher maximum mitochondrial respiration rate without depolarizing the plasma membrane.
