BGP-15 is a cellular protectant with multiple mechanisms: insulin sensitizer, HSP72 activator, PARP inhibitor, and reducer of ROS and lipid peroxidation. It protects mitochondria in acetaminophen-induced liver injury and LPS-induced destabilization, promoting mitochondrial fusion.
