Datasheet

Description

Citronellol ((±)-Citronellol) is an orally active apoptosis inducer. It prevents oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, and apoptosis in 6-OHDA-induced SH-SY5Y Parkinson's disease models by regulating ROS-NO, MAPK/ERK, and PI3K/Akt pathways. It induces necroptosis in human lung cancer cells via the TNF-α pathway and ROS accumulation. Citronellol reduces LC-3 and p62 levels to regulate autophagy, inhibits oxidative stress and neuroinflammation, providing neuroprotection in Parkinson's rats. It also exhibits antifungal activity against Trichophyton rubrum by inhibiting ergosterol synthesis.
