Datasheet

Description

Lipoamide ((±)-α-Lipoamide), a monocarboxylic acid derivative of a neutral amide from lipoic acid and ammonia, protects against oxidative stress-mediated neuronal damage. It also acts as a coenzyme for acetyl group and hydrogen transfer during pyruvate deacylation. Additionally, it stimulates mitochondrial biogenesis in adipocytes via the endothelial NO synthase-cGMP-protein kinase G pathway.
