Light green SF yellowish (Acid Green 5) is a highly selective triarylmethane dye for mitochondrial staining. Typically available as a disodium salt, it exhibits a maximum absorption at 629 nm. This dye is also employed as a histological stain for collagen and is a crucial component of Papanicolaou stains.
