Datasheet

Description

Nigericin sodium salt, an antibiotic from Streptomyces hygroscopicus, acts as a K+/H+ ionophore, promoting K+/H+ exchange across mitochondrial membranes. It's an NLRP3 activator with promising anticancer activities, achieved by decreasing intracellular pH (pHi) and inactivating Wnt/β-catenin signals. It also induces pyroptosis through caspase 1/GSDMD in TNBC.
