Nigericin (sodium salt) (Standard) is the analytical standard for Nigericin (sodium salt), intended for research and analytical applications. This Streptomyces hygroscopicus-derived antibiotic acts as a K+/H+ ionophore, promoting K+/H+ exchange across mitochondrial membranes. It is an NLRP3 activator and shows promising anticancer activities by decreasing intracellular pH (pHi) and inactivating Wnt/β-catenin signals. Nigericin sodium salt induces pyroptosis through caspase 1/GSDMD in TNBC.
