Description

Norartocarpetin is a potent tyrosinase inhibitor (IC50 of 0.47 μM) used as an antibrowning agent in food systems. It also exhibits significant anticancer activity in lung carcinoma cells (NCI-H460) (IC50 of 22 μM). Its antiproliferative effects are mediated by targeting the Ras/Raf/MAPK pathway, mitochondrial apoptosis, S-phase cell cycle arrest, and suppression of cell migration and invasion in human lung carcinoma cells.
