Description

PDK4 Protein, Human (GST) phosphorylates PDHA1 and PDHA2, inhibiting pyruvate dehydrogenase activity. This recombinant human PDK4, expressed in E. coli with an N-terminal GST tag, reduces glucose utilization, enhances fat metabolism, and helps maintain blood glucose levels during fasting. It also regulates fatty acid oxidation/biosynthesis, generates ROS, protects epithelial cells, and regulates cell proliferation metabolically.
