Radicicol is an Hsp90 inhibitor (IC50 < 1 μM) leading to proteasomal degradation. It inhibits PDK (IC50 of 230 μM for PDK1 and 400 μM for PDK3). This antifungal and antimalarial antibiotic impairs mitochondrial replication by targeting P. falciparum topoisomerase VIB. Radicicol also inhibits fat mass and obesity-associated protein (FTO) (IC50 of 16.04 μM).
