SHMT2 Protein, Human (His) catalyzes serine cleavage to produce 5, 10-methylenetetrahydrofolate for purine synthesis. This recombinant human SHMT2, expressed in E. coli with an N-6*His tag, binds to mitochondrial DNA and participates in target protein deubiquitination via the BRISC complex.
