SMAC/Diablo Protein, Human (His) is a core apoptotic participant that activates caspases in the cytochrome c/Apaf-1/caspase-9 pathway. This recombinant human SMAC/Diablo, expressed in E. coli with a C-terminal His tag, antagonizes IAPs, inhibits BIRC6/bruce binding to caspases, and destabilizes XIAP/BIRC4.
