Sulforaphane, an orally active Keap1/Nrf2/ARE pathway inducer, promotes tumor-suppressing protein transcription and inhibits HDAC activity. Activating the Keap1/Nrf2/ARE pathway and inducing HO-1, it protects the heart. Sulforaphane also suppresses high glucose-induced pancreatic cancer via AMPK signaling. It possesses anticancer and anti-inflammatory properties.
