Description

Tyroserleutide hydrochloride, a tripeptide from porcine spleen degradation, exhibits antitumor activity. It upregulates the tumor suppressor PTEN and inhibits AKT and PDK1. By inhibiting the PI3K/AKT pathway, it suppresses tumor cell proliferation and MDM2 phosphorylation, while also upregulating P21, P27, and P53, leading to mitochondrial damage and cell apoptosis.
