Chronic Social Defeat Stress Model
Research suggests that the development and recurrence of depression may be closely related to recurrent stress. Experimental Flow
Social defeat animal model stimulation is divided into two main stages. Here, we present the process of model building using mice as an example.
- Phase I
C57BL/6J mice were placed in the feeding cage of unfamiliar CD1 mice daily and attacked continuously for 5-10 minutes.
- Phase II
The two mice were separated by a metal plate to maintain visual and olfactory contact. The chronic stress process was continued for 10 d.
