Ribosomal RNA and Globin mRNA Removal
The removal of ribosomal RNA (rRNA) and globin mRNA is vital for regulating gene expression and ensuring proper protein synthesis. These processes occur through distinct mechanisms. In the case of rRNA, it undergoes processing within the nucleolus, a region in the cell nucleus. This involves chemical modifications and cleavage of rRNA molecules to eliminate unnecessary sections. Consequently, only the essential portions of rRNA are incorporated into ribosomes.
