CRISPRa Kits

The CRISPRa (CRISPR activation) kit represents a unique iteration of CRISPR technology that doesn't alter or remove genes, but instead boosts or "activates" gene expression. This is achieved by using a dormant or "dead" variant of the Cas9 gene-slicing enzyme (dCas9), in addition to a molecule that triggers gene expression.

These tools can be adjusted by scientists to aim at practically any gene in the human genome's activation.
