Description
1-Cyano-4-(dimethylamino) pyridinium tetrafluoroborate (CDAP) is an organic, highly efficient, water-soluble protein thiol cyanating reagent for the preparation of protein-polysaccharide conjugates. Acts as an activator for the binding of polysaccharide resins and lipopolysaccharides while retaining endotoxin activity. Activation and further carbohydrate modifications occur in aqueous solvents under mild conditions, an enzyme-friendly environment. CDAP can be used on alkali-sensitive polysaccharides and proteins.
