8-OHdG Check ELISA Kit (High Sensitivity)
Description
8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) is a modified base produced by hydroxyl radical attack during aerobic metabolism and oxidative stress. Increasing evidence supports the involvement of free radical reactions in the damage of biomolecules, ultimately leading to several diseases in humans, such as atherosclerosis, brain and heart ischemia-reperfusion injury, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammation, and diabetes. As a sensitive, stable, and complete marker of oxidative damage to cellular DNA, 8-OHdG can be detected in biological materials such as tissues, serum, and urine.
