Capecitabine (Xeloda)
Product Name: | Capecitabine (Xeloda) |
CAT#: | DMA-2312-LGZ-2 |
Package: | 1g/5g/(Xeloda) 10mM * 1mL in DMSO |
Datasheet |
Description
Capecitabine is a prodrug that is enzymatically converted into 5-fluorouracil in tumors, thereby inhibiting DNA synthesis and slowing down the growth of tumor tissue. The activation of capecitabine follows a pathway with three enzymatic steps and two intermediary metabolites, 5'-deoxy-5-fluorocytidine (5'-DFCR) and 5'-deoxy-5-fluorouridine (5'-DFUR), to form 5-fluorouracil.
