DPM-1001 is a highly effective, specific, orally bioavailable and non-competitive inhibitor of protein-tyrosine phosphatase (PTP1B) (IC50 = 100 nM), an an analog of the specific PTP1B inhibitor trodusquemine (IC50=600 nM). DPM-1001 has anti-diabetic property.
