Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase
Protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs) are important catalytic enzymes involved in the regulation of phosphorylation levels and signal transduction in eukaryotic cells. Protein tyrosine phosphorylation is a common post-translational modification that can generate new recognition sites for protein interactions and regulate intracellular distribution. It can affect protein stability and regulate enzyme activity.
PTPs participate in many important signal transduction pathways in cells and are closely related to cell proliferation, differentiation, and other life activities. PTPs are also involved in coordinating the development of embryos, tissues, and organs, as well as immune prevention and other important physiological and biochemical processes of the body. Abnormal regulation of PTPs is related to the occurrence of many diseases such as tumors.
