Overcoming the limitations on the quantity and variety of genomic analyses due to inadequate genomic DNA is possible through the global amplification of all DNA in a sample, also known as whole genome amplification. For this, PROTHERAGEN offers REPLI‑g Kits, which include DNA polymerase, buffers, and reagents that allow for extremely uniform whole genome amplification with minimal sequence bias. The kits can be utilized with a variety of starting materials, including genomic DNA, fresh or dried blood, buccal swabs, fresh or frozen tissue and cells.
REPLI-g Kits are available in several different sizes and configurations, which gives researchers the opportunity to tailor the best workflow for their project and lab space. Depending upon the kit and workflow employed, typical yields from REPLI-g range from approximately 7 µg to 40 µg of amplified DNA.
The REPLI-g Mini and Midi Kits prioritize higher yields of amplified DNA, all within a single tube workflow. For faster results, the REPLI-g UltraFast Kit enables uniform and accurate whole genome amplification within just 60-90 minutes. For those working in a high-throughput 96-well format, the REPLI-g Screening Kit offers a streamlined, room-temperature process, allowing for easy liquid handling within just 20 minutes. This kit is specifically designed for rapid screening across various genotyping, PCR, sequencing or microarray assays.

Applications

The genomic amplified by REPLI-g has wide applications including: SNP genotyping with TaqMan® primer/probe sets, qPCR- and PCR-based mutation detection, next-generation sequencing, STR/microsatellite analysis, Sanger sequencing, RFLP and Southern blot analysis, and array technologies like comparative genomic hybridization.
